Heated die or heated platens for this sample?

Describe the sample and what you want to do to it. The tool works out the force each route needs and checks it against the die range, platen sizes, force ratings and heating ranges of the PressPro™ hot presses, with the room temperature you enter as the lower end.

Nominal comparison. Pressure is force divided by the loaded area: the bore for a pellet, length × width for a flat sample. The tool checks the ranges in the specification only. It does not check the height of a mold against the daylight, how long a sample takes to reach temperature, or whether a material densifies or flows under these conditions. The heating range of every model starts at room temperature, so the process temperature is compared with the room temperature you enter as well as with the upper limit of the model. A set-point at or below the room temperature is outside that range; control performance near room temperature is outside the scope of this tool. The calculation gives nominal sample pressure from force and loaded area. It does not determine the allowable pressure of heated tooling or establish a validated pressing cycle, so the die-limit line of the heated-die route is never shown as a pass: at best it is Confirm.
