Press sizing: does a frame cover both ends of your range?

Enter the die bore and the lowest and highest pressure you will use. Every PressPro™ pellet press for powder, KBr or XRF work of the kind you choose is checked on its own terms: capacity at the top, the printed lower limit and the readout step at the bottom, the working space if you give the die size, and its printed site data.

Force = pressure × bore area ÷ 9800. Ratings, lower limits, working spaces, weights, sizes and supplies as printed in the PressPro™ specifications. Readout step on the sample: on the manual powder frames, the pointer gauge in 1 MPa of oil pressure, converted with the printed rated force and gauge range of each frame, and the digital gauge in 0.01 t; on powered presses, a screen step of 0.1 t where the specification prints it. The reading step of the large-tonnage automatic presses, the manual infrared and XRF presses and the hand-screw mini infrared press is not covered here. The tool does not rank presses or judge accuracy at a given load. The die line places your highest pressure on the PressPro™ die pressure chart, whose bands are given for steel dies; it does not check the rating of a particular die.
