Spin curve fitter: film thickness vs spin speed
Enter your own measured films: the final spin speed and the dry film thickness of each one. The fitter takes logarithms, fits ln h against ln ω (h = k·ωα) and states how much the data can support: one speed gives only an ideal-exponent estimate, two give a line, three a preliminary fit, and four or more distinct speeds a fit whose uncertainty can be evaluated. It gives a speed for a target thickness only inside the speeds you measured. The calculation runs in your browser; nothing is sent.
Thickness unit
| Final speed (rpm) | Dry thickness (nm) |

One row per film; repeat films at the same speed go on separate rows. Use dry thickness measured after your normal bake, with the same instrument and positions for every film. Published uniformity tables do not state the spin speed and are not spin-curve data.
Copy the data and the fit
Fitting aid, not a process recipe. The fitter uses ordinary least squares on ln h against ln ω, which treats scatter as a percentage of thickness and assumes independent films with similar scatter at every speed. It describes only the speeds and the conditions you measured: outside the measured range the mechanism that sets the thickness may change, so no speed is recommended there, and any extrapolated number is shown only with a warning. A fit is a candidate process model, not proof that a single power law holds; coat at the chosen speed and measure before committing a recipe. A coater’s maximum speed is a hardware limit, often specified without load; it is not a minimum film thickness, and this tool does not use it. The fitter holds no equipment data.
