From megapascals to the press: solid-electrolyte pellets
Enter the die and the pressure, and say whether it is the pressure for making the pellet or for holding it during a measurement. The tool gives the force and shows where it falls on PressPro™ presses. Add mass, thickness and theoretical density to get the relative density of the pellet.
The pressure is for
Arithmetic and the ranges in the specification only. Force = pressure × die area. Gauge readings use the force and gauge range printed for each two-column manual frame; a frame is listed only if the reading is at least one 1 MPa division. Relative density uses the numbers you enter and the theoretical density you supply; none is assumed for any material. The tool does not predict the density or conductivity a pressure will give, and it does not replace the rating of your own die.
