Electrical Heating and Cooling Stage AEPE120/AEPE120V
Product Detail
InSitu Pro™ AEPE120 and AEPE120V bring thermoelectric (Peltier) heating and cooling to electrical characterization: −25 to 120 °C on both models at ±0.1 °C, with Max heating and Max cooling 30 °C/min. Four fixed probe holders with gold-plated tungsten-carbide probes on BNC ×4 contact the sample on the copper 40 × 40 mm stage — grounded or electrically floating.

Key features
- −25 to 120 °C, thermoelectric (TEC)Peltier-effect heating and cooling at ±0.1 °C stability — Max heating 30 °C/min and Max cooling 30 °C/min, with fixed-point holds, ramp-rate control, and multi-segment programmable profiles.
- Four fixed probes on BNC ×4Fixed probe holders ×4 carry gold-plated tungsten-carbide probe tips; the stage suits a range of optical systems, while the four BNC outputs connect the probes to compatible electrical measurement instruments.
- Grounded or floating copper stageThe copper 40 × 40 mm stage surface can be grounded or electrically floating, selectable to match the measurement configuration.
- Reflection or transmission opticsReflection or transmission — the transmission path uses the φ2 mm light hole and the optional φ10 × 1 mm bottom window; φ25 × 1 mm JGS2 top window (220–2500 nm), hand-removable.
- Quick loading & window defrostSample loading is quick, and an air-blow bracket is included for the top window — helping reduce frost and maintain optical access at low temperature.
- AEPE120V: vacuum-chamber modelThe V pairs the same fixed probe deck with a vacuum chamber; operated under vacuum, it can reduce the oxidant supply during measurements.

Atmosphere or vacuum?
The AEPE120 is specified with an atmosphere chamber, while the AEPE120V is specified with a vacuum chamber. When the AEPE120V is operated under vacuum, it can reduce the oxidant supply; actual performance depends on the achieved pressure, residual atmosphere, sample material, temperature, and exposure time.

FAQ
What is the difference between the AEPE120 and the AEPE120V?
Same TEC probe deck, −25 to 120 °C and ±0.1 °C on both. The AEPE120 runs in an atmosphere chamber; the AEPE120V runs in a vacuum chamber — often preferred for oxidation-sensitive samples and measurements when operated under vacuum. Probe deck, optics, and controller set are otherwise the same; the AEPE120V body is longer (204 × 266 × 41 mm vs 204 × 194 × 41 mm).
How does the Peltier family compare with the LN₂-cooled probe stages?
The AEPE120 family heats and cools by the thermoelectric (Peltier) effect — the standard configuration runs from a temperature controller and a water-circulation loop, with no liquid-nitrogen supply in the loop. For cryogenic work down to −190 °C, see the LN₂-cooled AECH600S (magnetic probes) or AECH600 (fixed probes).
How do the probes connect to my instruments?
Four fixed probe holders with gold-plated tungsten-carbide tips sit in the chamber, with signals out on BNC ×4 to compatible electrical measurement instruments. The copper 40 × 40 mm stage can be grounded or electrically floating; custom probes and probe interfaces are available as options.
Will the window frost over below 0 °C?
An air-blow bracket is included for the top window — helping reduce frost and maintain optical access at low temperature. The φ25 × 1 mm JGS2 window (220–2500 nm) is hand-removable and replaceable, and the φ10 × 1 mm bottom window is available for the transmission path.
How do I order, and what software support is included?
Both models are supplied by quotation: request via this page or the InSitu Pro™ Stage Selector, and our engineers confirm the configuration for your instruments and reply with pricing and lead time. The host-computer software provides temperature setting, program editing, and data acquisition; LabVIEW and C# SDKs support customized integration.
