The device can switch the normal mode to QC mode, which can realize quick inspection to improve efficiency.
MetriTec™ Gloss Meter M192 is a hand-held gloss meter with universal measuring angle 60° and its measuring range is 0-1000GU. The instrument is widely used in surface gloss measurement on paint, coating, metal, ceramics, stone, printed material. It's so convenient that you can use even without pressing button. QC mode is optional to conduct quick QC process. Intelligent data statistics and test report can be generated by connecting PC software.
MetriTec™ Gloss Meter M193 is a portable gloss meter with micro measuring aperture, universal angle 60°. Its measuring range is 0-1000GU, and exclusively applicable to surface gloss measurement on curved or mini size material.
MetriTec™ Gloss Meter M195 is a handheld gloss meter with a range of 0-200GU. It is professionally used for the surface gloss measurement of paint, coating, ink, plastic, paper, ceramics, stone, metal and other materials. The operation of the device is simple. You can just put the device on the materials and start to measure under normal mode, and there is no need to wait normal mode. In addition, the device can also be set to QC mode, which can realize quick QC measurement to improve efficiency.
MetriTec™ Gloss Meter M196 is a handheld gloss meter. Thanks to its ivory white engineering housing, its appearance is simple and generous. It features 60° universal angle design, and its measuring range can reach to 1000GU. The device supports normal mode and QC mode. In QC mode, it can automatically determine whether the gloss of the material is qualified, thus the measurement efficiency is improved. It is professionally used for the surface gloss measurement of paints, coatings, inks, plastics, ceramics, stones, metals and other materials.
MetriTec™ Gloss Meter M197 is a multi-angle designed gloss meter. Thanks to its ivory white engineering housing, its appearance is simple and generous. The device is widely used for the surface gloss measurement of paints, coatings, inks, plastics, ceramics, paper, stones, metals and other materials. It has 3 measuring angles of 20°, 60° and 85°, so that the gloss at different angles can be measured at the same time. With its 2000GU measuring range, the device can measure materials with high gloss and even specular reflectivity. The device supports normal mode and QC mode. In normal mode, all you need to do is put the gloss meter on the sample whose gloss will be displayed on the screen of the device instantly. No need to wait. In QC mode, it can automatically determine whether the gloss of the material is qualified, thus the measurement efficiency is improved.

2. How to select the appropriate measurement angle?
Gloss meters typically offer three common measurement angles (measurement geometry): 20°, 60°, and 85°, each suitable for different gloss levels.
-
60° is the standard angle and is commonly used for measuring the gloss of most materials.
-
85° is ideal for measuring matte surface of low-gloss materials (less than 10GU at 60°) such as leather, paper, etc.
-
20° is designed for high gloss surfaces of high-gloss materials (greater than 70GU at 60°) like coatings, paints, etc.
When choosing a gloss meter, it is important to select the appropriate measurement angle according to the gloss level of the material.
3. Choosing the measurement range
If you need to measure high-gloss materials (such as electroplated parts, mirrors, etc.), pay attention to the measuring gloss range of the gloss meter. It is recommended to choose a gloss meter with a measuring range of 200GU or higher to ensure accurate measurement results without exceeding the upper limit.
