Where it fits

The SafeVac is intended for laboratory waste recovery and separation of liquid and solid. It can be widely used in cell culture, DNA extraction, microplate waste removal, and any other liquid separation or recovery — the best replacement for the common vacuum pump, for all kinds of waste liquid recovery, especially biological, chemical and radioactive liquids.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SafeVac designed for?

The SafeVac is a safe and efficient system for labs handling critical or biological liquid waste, for laboratory waste recovery and separation of liquid and solid. It can be widely used in cell culture, DNA extraction, microplate waste removal, and any other liquid separation or recovery.

How does it prevent bottle overfill?

A level detection system prevents bottle overfill, and a sensitive level sensor prevents liquid overflow.

How is the vacuum set?

The vacuum is set with the control knob. The vacuum level is adjustable, with an indicator light, and is designed for various applications. The vacuum range is 0–600 mbar.

Which parts can be autoclaved?

The parts in contact with liquids are autoclavable; the specification table lists the autoclave components as tube, waste bottle and operation handle. The wide range of adapters can be fully autoclaved at 121 °C, 1 bar for 20 minutes; after autoclaving the equipment must be cooled down before use.

What are the connectors and the stand for?

Self-closing connectors avoid escape of drops or aerosols from a disconnected bottle. The stand is for transferring the bottle securely and holding the hand operator.

Which adapters are listed?

The adapters table lists A: 8-channel tip detrusion adapter 200μL tip; B: 8 channel needle Ø1.5mm; C to F: single needles; G: tip detrusion adapter 200μL tip; H: tip detrusion adapter 1mL tip; I: SafeVac Handle bracket; J: Handle Hoop (Vacuum Aspirator).

What are the size, noise and weight data?

Bottle 4 L, max. flow 15 L/min (air), max. aspiration speed 17 mL/s (liquid), noise level ≤55 dB, input voltage 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Dimensions 180×240×450 mm (W×D×H); weight 3 kg.
