Product Detail

InSitu Pro™ AUCH600 and AUCH600-HT are variable-temperature extension modules designed for universal testing machines (UTM) and other mechanical test systems: liquid-nitrogen cooling and resistive heating from −190 to 600 °C at ±0.1 °C, so in-situ stress–strain response and dynamic mechanical behavior can be characterized across temperature. The AUCH600 is a compact 96 × 70 × 30 mm, 1 kg module with a copper 30 × 25 mm stage; the AUCH600-HT carries a larger 30 × 50 mm stage in a 160 × 143 × 83 mm body. DIC and video-extensometer equipment can be optionally configured for high-precision strain acquisition.

Key features

  • Built for universal testing machinesA variable-temperature environment extension module designed for universal testing machines and other mechanical test systems — the loading and force measurement come from your test machine, the temperature environment comes from the module.
  • −190 to 600 °C, LN₂ + resistiveLiquid-nitrogen cooling and resistive heating at ±0.1 °C stability on both models — Max heating 100 °C/min, Max cooling 40 °C/min — for in-situ stress–strain response and dynamic mechanical behavior across temperature.
  • DIC & video extensometer optionsDIC and video-extensometer equipment can be optionally configured for high-precision acquisition of strain data — confirmed at quotation.
  • φ25 × 1 mm optical windowJGS2 quartz-glass top window (220–2500 nm), hand-removable and replaceable, on both models — optical access to the sample during the test.
  • Two sizes: compact or large stageAUCH600: copper 30 × 25 mm stage in a 96 × 70 × 30 mm, 1 kg body. AUCH600-HT: larger copper 30 × 50 mm stage in a 160 × 143 × 83 mm, 2 kg body.
  • Atmosphere chamberThe standard specification lists an atmosphere chamber on both models; any alternative chamber configuration is confirmed separately at quotation.

Testing at −190 °C on your UTM? Plan the run

Set the target temperature your experiment needs and press Start: three curves — LN₂, TEC, and natural cooling — race downward, and the verdict line shows which technologies arrive and when. The AUCH600 series cools with liquid nitrogen at up to 40 °C/min toward the −190 °C floor:

Model: controller-limited linear ramps with a Newton-type exponential approach as each curve nears its technology floor — LN₂ at up to ~40 °C/min toward −190 °C, TEC at up to 30 °C/min toward −25 °C — a simplified schematic of how cooling may slow as the target temperature is approached. For the technologies compared here, TEC-based InSitu Pro™ stages are specified down to −25 °C, while the AUCH600 series uses liquid-nitrogen cooling to reach temperatures down to −190 °C; actual cooling performance depends on heat load, stage configuration, and operating conditions. Curves are schematic family-level behaviour, not performance data for a specific stage or sample.

FAQ

How does the module work with my testing machine?

The AUCH600 series is a variable-temperature environment extension module designed for universal testing machines and other mechanical test systems: your machine provides the loading and force measurement, while the module provides the −190 to 600 °C sample environment for in-situ stress–strain response and dynamic mechanical behavior characterization. The mounting arrangement for your specific machine is confirmed at quotation.

AUCH600 or AUCH600-HT — which one?

Both models share the same temperature range, stability, heating/cooling rates, top-window specification, window material, and atmosphere chamber — −190 to 600 °C at ±0.1 °C, 100 / 40 °C/min, φ25 × 1 mm JGS2 window. They differ in sample-stage size, overall dimensions, and net weight: the AUCH600 is the compact option (copper 30 × 25 mm stage, 96 × 70 × 30 mm, 1 kg); the AUCH600-HT carries a larger copper 30 × 50 mm stage in a bigger body (160 × 143 × 83 mm, 2 kg) — choose by sample size and the space available in your machine.

Can strain be measured optically?

DIC and video-extensometer equipment can be optionally configured for high-precision strain-data acquisition. Both models include a φ25 × 1 mm JGS2 top window. The optical arrangement is confirmed at quotation.

What chamber is specified?

The standard specification lists an atmosphere chamber on both models. Any alternative chamber configuration must be confirmed separately at quotation.

How do I order?

Both modules are supplied by quotation: request via this page or the InSitu Pro™ Stage Selector, and our engineers confirm the model, mounting, and configuration for your testing machine and reply with pricing and lead time. Temperature-control software is included in the standard configuration; available software functions and integration interfaces are confirmed at quotation.
