The ALab™ DMS5 is an LCD digital magnetic stirrer with a 5-inch (Ø135 mm) ceramic-coated aluminum plate. It stirs up to 10 L of water at 50 to 1500 rpm. It has no heater; for heating and stirring on the same plate size, see the DMS5-340 and DMS5-340M.
The brushless DC motor runs smoothly and quietly and is maintenance free. The LCD shows the speed and the time, the timer runs from 1 min to 99 h 59 min, and the RS232 connector allows remote control from a PC.
The ceramic coating on the aluminum plate resists corrosion and is easy to clean. The corrosion-resistant all-metal housing provides good heat dissipation, and a safety lock protects the settings.
