The ALab™ OS-S Series LED Digital Overhead Stirrer is available as the OS20-S and the OS40-S, for a max. stirring quantity of 20 L or 40 L (water). Both have a brushless DC motor, a speed range of 50–2200 rpm, an LED screen for the actual speed and a chuck for shafts of Ø0.5–10 mm.
Overhead stirrers are used for mixing medium and high viscosity samples in chemical synthesis, pharmaceutical synthesis, physical and chemical analysis and the petrochemical industry.
The OS20-S has a max. torque of 40 N·cm for up to 10000 mPa·s; the OS40-S has 60 N·cm for up to 50000 mPa·s. Safety circuits allow the stirrer to stop safely under anti-stall or overload conditions, and the LED displays the overload protection status.
