InSitu Pro™ ACH600-C is a capillary optical heating-and-cooling stage: the sample lives inside a capillary that passes through the stage body, so liquids, melts, powders, and air-sensitive materials can be temperature-cycled from −120 °C to 600 °C in a sealed micro-environment — observed in brightfield, infrared, or Raman right through the capillary wall. LN₂-cooled, part of the InSitu Pro™ optical family, and ordered by quotation.

FAQ

When do I choose a capillary stage over an open stage?

Whenever the sample cannot simply sit on an open stage: liquids and solutions, melts, loose powders, volatile or hazardous materials, and anything air-sensitive or hygroscopic. Sealed in a capillary, the specimen carries its own atmosphere through the whole −120 to 600 °C program. For films, flakes, and solid chips, the open-stage ACH600S/ACH400SV is the natural choice.

Which optical techniques does it support?

Brightfield transmitted-light imaging, infrared work, and Raman spectroscopy — all through the capillary wall as temperature is swept, on the same microscopes and spectrometers the rest of the optical family serves.

What can I study with it?

Freezing and ice formation, glass transitions, crystallization and polymorph screening, melting and solidification, solution-phase behavior, and decomposition — any temperature-driven process best observed in a sealed micro-volume.
