ALab™ DispensMate-HF Hydrofluoric Acid Bottle-Top Dispenser
Product Detail
ALab™ DispensMate-HF Hydrofluoric Acid Bottle-Top Dispenser is a bottle-top dispenser for hydrofluoric acid, designed for the characteristics of HF. One configuration is listed: a 1.0–10 mL dispensing range with a 0.2 mL increment, complying with ISO 8655. The piston, piston cylinder, valve ball and valve seat are made from high-purity ceramic materials; the valve spring from special alloys; and the inlet and outlet tubes from FEP. A vernier-style adjustable volume guide rail sets the volume, and a reflux valve design reduces reagent waste.

Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive and hazardous to health. It attacks glass rapidly. Handle it only under your laboratory’s HF-specific procedures, with the personal protective equipment, engineering controls and emergency provisions set out in the applicable safety data sheet. This dispenser is intended for HF service; it does not remove the need for those controls.
Why choose the DispensMate-HF
Working accuracy
Accuracy is listed at three test volumes within the 1.0–10 mL range. The values are not interchangeable: at the 1 mL test volume the listed systematic error is ±6% and the random error ±2.0%.
| Test volume | Systematic error | Random error |
|---|---|---|
| 10 mL | 50 µL · 0.5% | 20 µL · 0.2% |
| 5 mL | 60 µL · 1.2% | 20 µL · 0.4% |
| 1 mL | 60 µL · 6% | 20 µL · 2.0% |
Accuracy values are provided only for the three test volumes shown. Do not interpolate or extrapolate between the listed points.

Package contents and configuration details: confirm at quotation. Hydrofluoric acid attacks glass, so bottle and container selection should be confirmed for HF service.
The hydrofluoric acid position in the ALab™ dispensing range. The range also includes the DispensMate and DispensMate-Pro bottle-top dispensers, the dFlow and dFlow-Pro electronic bottle-top dispensers, and the dTrite-Pro electronic burette. The DispensMate-HF is the model built for HF: a high-purity ceramic piston, piston cylinder, valve ball and valve seat, FEP inlet and outlet tubes, an alloy valve spring and a reflux valve. For general reagent dispensing outside HF service, see the DispensMate.
FAQ
Why does hydrofluoric acid need a dedicated dispenser?
Hydrofluoric acid attacks glass rapidly. The DispensMate-HF uses high-purity ceramic for the piston, piston cylinder, valve ball and valve seat, FEP for the inlet and outlet tubes, and special alloys for the valve spring. Chemical compatibility must be confirmed for the intended concentration and operating conditions.
Which component materials are listed?
High-purity ceramic for the piston, piston cylinder, valve ball and valve seat; special alloys for the valve spring; FEP for the inlet and outlet tubes. Confirm chemical compatibility for the intended reagent and concentration.
What accuracy is listed?
Accuracy is listed at three test volumes: 50 µL and 0.5% systematic with 20 µL and 0.2% random at 10 mL; 60 µL and 1.2% systematic with 20 µL and 0.4% random at 5 mL; and 60 µL and 6% systematic with 20 µL and 2.0% random at 1 mL. Accuracy values are provided only for these three test volumes. Do not interpolate or extrapolate between the listed points.
Which bottle-thread formats are listed?
S40, GL32, GL38, GL25 and GL28. Confirm the thread on your reagent bottle at quotation.
How is the volume set?
By a vernier-style adjustable volume guide rail, in 0.2 mL increments across the 1.0–10 mL range.
What does the reflux valve do?
It reduces reagent waste and helps prevent leakage during idle periods.
Are dimensions and weight available?
Dimensions and weight: confirm at quotation.
