ALab™ DM0506 Low-Speed Centrifuge
Product Detail
ALab™ DM0506 Low-Speed Centrifuge separates serum, plasma, urine and faecal samples in biochemical and medical laboratories. It runs from 300 to 5000 rpm in 10 rpm steps and both published rotor configurations are rated to 5000 rpm and 2600 ×g — A6-15P for 6 × 15 mL and A4-50P for 4 × 50 mL. Speed or g-force can be set and displayed directly, two programs are preloaded, and the lid releases automatically at the end of a run. This model is also supplied unbranded as the CF0506.

Rotors and adapters
Both rotors are high-strength plastic and share the same published maxima. Two adapters extend the A6-15P to smaller tube formats; the tube dimensions each adapter accepts are published, but not a separate radius or maximum RCF for those configurations.

The highest published maximum RCF among the low-speed models here, on either rotor. The DM0412(A6-50P) configuration is published at 1800 ×g and the Q0408E at 1860 ×g, while the DM0506 publishes 2600 ×g for both of its rotor configurations, from a 300 × 240 mm footprint. For the widest range of vacuum blood collection tube sizes see the DM0412; for PRP, PRF and CGF programming see the Q0408E; for microtubes and PCR formats see the D1008.
Is this the right centrifuge for your tubes?
Both DM0506 rotors are published at the same 5000 rpm and 2600 ×g maximum, so the choice between them is a question of tube format rather than of g-force. Where an adapter is used to carry smaller tubes, the adapter and its tube dimensions are published but not a separate radius or path-specific RCF — the tool below flags those configurations for confirmation rather than assuming the rotor maximum applies.
Model: RCF = r · ω² / g with ω = 2πN/60 and g = 9.80665 m/s², equivalent to RCF = 1.118 × 10⁻⁵ · r[cm] · N². Each configuration carries its own radius, labelled published where the published data state it and derived where it is back-calculated from the published maximum speed and RCF. Neither value is a measured value. Selection resolves a tube / rotor / adapter path and checks the path-specific RCF where it is published; otherwise the configuration is flagged for confirmation. It does not account for refrigeration, throughput, footprint or price. A schematic teaching tool, not selection software.
FAQ
Is the CF0506 a different machine?
No. CF0506 is the same instrument supplied without branding. Specifications, rotors and adapters are identical.
Do both rotors really reach 2600 ×g?
Yes — 5000 rpm and 2600 ×g are published for both the A6-15P and the A4-50P.
What RCF do I get with the 5 mL or 1.5/2 mL adapters?
The tube dimensions each adapter accepts are published, but not a separate radius or maximum RCF for those configurations. Because an adapter changes the radius at which the sample sits, the rotor maximum should not be assumed to carry over — confirm the figure for your configuration before relying on it.
What can the P1 and P2 programs store?
Two preloaded programs are provided so a stored procedure can be started with one key. The number of user-editable steps is not published within them; confirm if multi-segment programming is a requirement.
Can it be set in g rather than rpm?
Yes. Speed and RCF are both selectable and displayed, in 10 rpm and 10 ×g increments respectively.
Does the lid unlock automatically?
Automatic lid-lock release after running is published, alongside a door interlock, overspeed detector and automatic internal diagnosis. Load rotors symmetrically and never exceed a rotor’s rated speed.
