The ALab™ DMS5-120 is a digital display heating magnetic stirrer with a 5-inch (Ø135 mm) ceramic-coated aluminum plate for gentle heating from RT to 120°C. It stirs up to 5 L of water at 200 to 1500 rpm.
A touch panel with button sound and indicator lights sets temperature and speed, and digital displays show both values. The bracket mount for the temperature sensor lets you set the PT1000 at various angles to avoid interference; with a PT1000 sensor the liquid temperature is controlled to ±0.2°C.
The brushless DC motor drives a strong magnet. Overheating protection at 320°C guards the heater, and a "HOT" warning flashes while the plate is above 50°C, even after the power is switched off.
