In stock
SKU# 2051

Product Detail

The CTP-2000KL is the high-voltage, low-frequency digital member of ACS Material's CTP-2000K plasma power supply family — a 0–30 kV (Vpp), low-frequency (≈50 Hz) source for generating stable cold (non-thermal) plasma by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). A built-in touchscreen sets voltage, current, power, and frequency, while integrated digital metering monitors the output voltage waveform and both instantaneous and integrated current. It drives a wide range of DBD electrodes for surface modification, nanomaterial synthesis, sterilization, and plasma chemistry.

Notes
  1. The ≈10 kHz center frequency is calibrated using the ACS 50 mm DBD reactor (SKU #EPDBD050); customization may incur additional charges.
  2. DBD-50 reactor compatibility: the CTP-2000K, CTP-2000K/P, CTP-2000K/A, CTP-2000KM, and CTP-2000KL are compatible with the standard DBD reactor; the CTP-2000K/S requires a customized DBD reactor.
  3. Custom configurations are available on request to meet specific experimental requirements.
  4. For 110 V AC sources, a step-up transformer is recommended to convert 110 V to 220 V; if powering both the main unit and voltage regulator through the same transformer, use one rated at 2000 W or higher.

What's included

The CTP-2000KL ships as a single all-in-one unit:

  • Main unit (CTP-2000KL) — the high-voltage, low-frequency digital plasma power supply, with the voltage regulator and digital control system built in (no separate regulator box).
Recommended reactor
50 mm Diameter DBD Reactor (DBD-50, SKU#EPDBD050)

The CTP-2000KL is compatible with the standard 50 mm DBD reactor and other ACS DBD cells. ACS Material also offers coaxial DBD reactors and additional DBD reactor cells for different geometries.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the CTP-2000KL different from the other CTP-2000K models?

The CTP-2000KL is the low-frequency (≈50 Hz) digital model: instead of analog knobs it uses a touchscreen to set voltage, current, power, and frequency, and it integrates the voltage regulator and a digital control and metering system into a single unit.

How do I set and monitor the output?

All parameters are set on the built-in touchscreen. After switching on via the circuit breaker, adjust voltage, current, power, and frequency on screen; the integrated metering provides output voltage-waveform monitoring with instantaneous and integrated (time-averaged) current detection.

Is the CTP-2000KL a continuous-discharge power supply?

Yes. It delivers continuous output for long-term, stable DBD or glow discharge.

Which discharge types and gases does it support?

Dielectric barrier (DBD) and glow discharge in air, oxygen, nitrogen, and other inert gases.

What is included in the package?

A single all-in-one CTP-2000KL unit, with the voltage regulator and digital control system built in — no separate regulator box.

What power input does it need?

Single-phase 220 V, ±10%. For 110 V supply regions, use a step-up transformer rated for the unit's draw.

Which DBD reactor should I use?

The CTP-2000KL works with the standard 50 mm DBD reactor (DBD-50, SKU# EPDBD050) and other ACS DBD cells. Connect the DBD electrode's high-voltage side to the unit's high-voltage interface and the low-voltage side to the low-voltage interface. ACS Material can also customize DBD reactors for specific needs; see our DBD Reactor page.

Can the frequency or power be customized?

The CTP-2000KL runs at low frequency with an adjustable range of 50–200 Hz, set on the touchscreen; output power can be customized on request. For special frequency or power requirements, please contact us with your application details.

How do I measure the output voltage and current?

The touchscreen and integrated metering display voltage, current, power, and frequency, with output voltage-waveform monitoring and instantaneous and integrated current detection. For independent verification, use an oscilloscope with a suitable high-voltage probe on the external interface.

Is there an operating-temperature limit?

If the reactor is made of quartz, keep it below about 200 °C — quartz can fail by thermal breakdown above that. The power supply itself is unaffected.

How does it differ from the other CTP-2000K models?

See the comparison table above: the CTP-2000KL is the low-frequency (~50 Hz) digital model with touchscreen control; the base CTP-2000K is the medium-frequency single-output model; the CTP-2000K/P adds modulated-pulse output; the CTP-2000K/A offers higher power (up to 1000 W); the CTP-2000K/S provides dual differential (180° out-of-phase) output; and the CTP-2000KM delivers microsecond modulated pulses (~4 µs rise, ~10 µs width).

What warranty applies?
