The ALab™ HP500-Pro is an LCD digital hotplate with a 10-inch (254 × 254 mm) glass-ceramic plate that heats from RT to 500°C with a heating output of 1500 W. It has no stirring function; for heating and stirring on a 10-inch plate, see the MS10-H500-Pro.
The glass-ceramic plate offers excellent chemical resistance and efficient heat transfer. The LCD shows temperature and time, the running time can be set from 1 min to 99 h 59 min, and an SD card records the running data in real time.
An external PT1000 temperature sensor (accuracy ±0.2°C) controls the sample temperature. The safety temperature is 540°C, and a "HOT" warning flashes while the plate is above 50°C, even when the hotplate is switched off.
