ALab™ MS10-H500-Pro LCD Digital Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer
Product Detail
The ALab™ MS10-H500-Pro LCD Digital Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer from ACS Material pairs a 254 × 254 mm (10 inch) glass ceramic work plate with digital heating to a 500 °C plate limit in 1 °C increments and brushless DC stirring from 100 to 1500 rpm at ±1 rpm resolution. It stirs up to 30 L of water. Speed and temperature share one LCD, an external PT1000 input lets you control the medium rather than the plate, the timer runs from 1 minute to 99 h 59 min, and an SD card records running data in real time.

Configuration
The MS10-H500-Pro accepts an external PT1000 temperature sensor for control on the medium. Your approved ACS Material quotation specifies the sensor model, support accessories, quantities, stir-bar inclusion and the cord and electrical configuration supplied with your order. Please let us know how you intend to use the instrument and we will quote the right configuration.
The instrument runs on 100–120 or 200–240 V at 50/60 Hz; the cord supplied depends on the order. Stir bars are quoted separately unless your quotation lists them.
This is our large-format hotplate stirrer. Choose the MS10-H500-Pro when vessel size, batch volume, timed running or recorded run data matter: a 10-inch plate, 30 L of water, a settable timer and SD-card recording. If your bench is tighter or your batches are smaller, please contact us about the rest of the ALab magnetic stirring range and we will match the plate size and capacity to the work space.
FAQ
Is 500 °C the plate temperature or my sample temperature?
It is the work plate. We rate the instrument from room temperature to 500 °C at the plate, set in 1 °C increments, with overheating protection at 540 °C. What your sample reaches depends on the vessel, the volume, the medium and the losses in your setup, so we do not quote a sample temperature. Where the temperature of the liquid is what matters, use an external PT1000 sensor and let the instrument regulate on that instead.
What does the PT1000 input do for me?
It moves the control point from the plate into your medium. We rate the external sensor at ±0.2 °C. Without it the instrument regulates plate temperature, rated at ±1 °C below 100 °C and ±1% above 100 °C. Sensor model and supply are set by your quotation.
What do the four accuracy figures mean?
They describe four different things and are not interchangeable. Speed resolution ±1 rpm is the increment the speed is set and shown in. Temperature control accuracy ±1 °C below 100 °C and ±1% above is how closely the instrument holds the plate to setpoint. Temperature display accuracy ±0.1 °C is the readout resolution. External sensor accuracy ±0.2 °C applies to the PT1000 probe. Please read them separately when you compare instruments.
Can it stir 30 litres?
We rate the maximum stirring quantity at 30 L for water, with a magnetic bar up to 80 mm long. We do not publish a capacity for other media, because viscosity, vessel geometry, bar length and fill depth all affect what couples reliably. Size against your own medium rather than against the water figure, and please contact us if you are unsure.
What does the SD card record?
The data connector records the instrument’s running data to an SD card in real time. We do not specify the file format, logging interval or supported card capacity on this page — please contact us before you build the feature into a regulated workflow and we will confirm what your unit does.
What does the “HOT” warning indicate?
It flashes whenever the work plate is above 50 °C, including after you switch the hotplate off. Treat the plate as hot until it clears, and follow the operating manual and your laboratory’s own procedures for residual heat.
What protection class is it?
IP20. Under IEC 60529 the first digit describes protection against solid foreign objects and the second describes protection against water. Site the instrument, clean it and handle spills according to the operating manual and your laboratory’s procedures.
